Search Builder – Start with “IS NOT” Condition

Precision matters when it comes to building effective searches. Users can now start a search in the Advanced Search Builder with an exclusionary condition—using “IS NOT” as the first filter. This enhancement helps reviewers focus their queries from the start by immediately filtering out irrelevant content. The result: a faster, more streamlined search experience with fewer steps and greater accuracy.

Apply Redactions by Label

You can now select which redaction labels to include when producing documents, giving you greater flexibility and control. This is especially useful in cases where not all redacted content needs to be withheld. For example, if a document contains both PII and Trade Secret redactions, you can choose to apply only the PII redactions for a particular production—allowing privileged reviewers to access trade secret content when appropriate.

Sort Tags Order in Tag Facet for Faster Review

Reviewers can now customize how tags are displayed in the Tag Facet, making it easier to find what they need. New sorting options allow tags to be ordered alphabetically, by tag count, or by the project’s default settings. Whether you're working through a long list or targeting frequently used tags, this update streamlines the tagging experience and speeds up review.

View Document Families in Search Table

Document family groupings are now available again in the Search Table view. After addressing a few edge cases from the initial launch, this re-release brings back the ability to view and interact with related documents directly within the data grid. As more users adopt Table view for its performance and flexibility, this enhancement ensures a smoother review experience—eliminating the need to switch views and making it easier to assess document families in context.

Other Fixes and Tweaks

  • Preservation Summary for Slack: A new section has been added to the Preservation Summary for Slack. It clearly indicates whether preserved content includes "Conversations: DMs" or "Everything," aligning with the configured Slack settings.

  • Automatically Select Saved Search for Downloads: When initiating a download from a saved search, the system now automatically selects the relevant search, reducing manual steps and streamlining the workflow.

  • Refresh Users Button for MS365 Integration: Legal Hold users can now refresh their cached Active Directory user list. This ensures new employees are reflected and former employees are excluded from custodian selection.

  • Redaction Label Visibility in Download Summary: Download summaries now display which redaction labels were selected during download creation. This applies to both the final step of the download workflow and the “More Info” section for completed downloads, providing greater transparency and audit clarity.

  • Email Notifications for MS365 Matter Conflicts: Replaced previous pager alerts with automatic email notifications for MS365 matter name conflicts. Users are now promptly informed if preservation jobs fail due to duplicate matter names.

  • Corrected Tag Folder Sort Order and Crashes: Fixed an issue where tags within folders appeared nested under incorrect parents and the interface crashed when unselecting a tag.

  • Alphabetical Sorting for “Has No Tags”: Resolved a bug that caused the “Has No Tags” system tag to appear out of order when sorting tags alphabetically.

  • Cull/Tag Spamming Bug Fixed: Prevented repeated server requests and out-of-sync stats caused by rapid clicking or keyboard shortcuts during cull/tag actions by improving client-side state tracking.

  • Preserved Auto-Generated Values with Download Templates: Fixed an issue where applying a template reset auto-generated Volume Name and Bates Number. Server values are now retained.

  • Prevented Cross-Project Download Folder Moves: Added scope validation to ensure downloads can only be moved to folders within the same project.

  • Draft Hold Data Now Loads Correctly: Resolved an issue where resuming a draft hold would open an empty form. Existing draft data is now correctly loaded.

  • Handled Slack user_not_found Errors Automatically: Slack upload failures due to missing users are now handled automatically, reducing manual intervention.

  • Resolved Slack Preservation Naming Conflicts: Slack preservation names now include a unique identifier to prevent duplication when multiple holds exist in the same project.

  • Hold Creation Now Includes Preservation Sources: Fixed a bug where preservation sources were excluded from the payload when creating new holds. These are now properly submitted.

  • Hold Form Options Now Reset on Close: Hold Form fields such as preservation sources and optional steps now reset correctly after the modal is closed.

  • PDF Bookmark Splitting Fixed: PDFs split by bookmarks now correctly detect and split all bookmarks as expected.

  • Email Rendering Improved: Resolved unnecessary blank pages appearing in email renders, ensuring accurate page counts and clean formatting.

  • Added Timeout Error for SavedSearchCsvBuilder: Improved stability by adding support for a missing timeout error that previously caused search CSV generation to fail.

  • Boolean Persistence in Search Builder Fixed: The first-line condition in Advanced Search Builder no longer reverts from IS NOT to IS when additional filters are added.

  • Corrected Facet Filter Counts: Counts for newer/unrecognized facets now update correctly when documents are removed from results.

  • Warning for Imbalanced Double Quotes in Search: The system now shows a warning when users enter a search with an unmatched double quote to prevent unexpected results.

  • Prevented Locking Searches with Zero Documents: Fixed an issue where searches with zero results could still be locked due to stale stats. Stats now refresh before locking.

  • Improved Overlay Handling for GVault Documents: Overlays involving GVault documents now check for indexable children before applying family date updates, preventing failures.

  • Improved Assign User Modal Language: The Assign User modal language now clearly indicates when a user is being unassigned. This update enhances clarity for Project Admins during bulk user assignment actions.

We hope these updates make your experience even smoother. Your feedback is always welcome and helps shape what we build next. Thank you for being a valued Reveal | Logikcull customer!
