Enter a redaction keyword and select a redaction method

Click "Search," enter your keyword(s), and select a method of redaction:

  1. Redact individual matches (you can scroll left and right to anchor points), or

  2. Redact all.

⚠️ You can use wildcards here! For example putting in priv* in the keyword field would highlight results like: "privilege" and "privileged" for quick redactions.

Searching for number patterns

You can search for number patterns (like dates or phone numbers) using the hash key #.

(Note: Do not attempt to search for number patterns using the asterisk * wildcard. Use the hash key # or question mark ? instead.)

Reviewing and saving redactions

You can toggle through redactions in the resulting Save menu.

Removing individual redactions or adding labels

Hover over a box and make a selection.

⚠️ Don't forget to save your redactions before you move onto other work!

Bulk-deleting all redactions

To bulk-delete all redactions in a document, navigate to the Redactions section of the document information panel and click on the 3-dot icon, then select "Delete All Redactions." You'll be presented with a confirmation screen. Once you confirm your decision to delete the redactions, all the redactions will be deleted immediately.
