Retrieving search syntax using Search Builder

Search Builder is a quick way to retrieve field names, tags, and more.

Some searches may require looking up specific syntax. For example,

document_type:Audio/Visual


Using this example, to retrieve a specific document type, Search Builder can be used:

Hover over the vertical dots above the search bar to open Search Builder.

Select the "Document Type" field, “Equals” condition and select the category you want.

Run the search. The search box will display the tag’s search syntax:

This syntax can then be expanded upon to write more complex search queries.

document_type:Audio/Visual OR document_type:Email

⚠️ Important note: you may need to add parentheses in order to properly nest complex queries. Learn more about nested search terms.
